Hahaha.... time to plan for a new dive trip. Who's up for 25-28 Oct? :D
Met up wif a friend last nite..had another round of the 'random chatting'..found out tt he wanna take up SD course..Natually, i promoted Mako to him..his reply -- "so ex ar?..i'm taking at $300+ only leh..anyway, i jus wan a certification..try try only mah..i may not even like it anyway..y spent so much?" (ok, not word for word..but u get the pic rite keke..)
I remembered wat made me take my 1st plunge..all the 'wrong reasons' haha..dun even like getting out into the sun much to start wif..wahaha..BUT now..i'm hooked..totally hooked!!..keekee...
Wat's so great about SCUBA tt can make such a drastic change in one?..to quote Charles' words -- "This made me wonder about what exactly is needed, to be called a Diver? Passion ? Enthusiasm ? Continuity ?" --
I say, it's not jus about plunging into the deep blue sea..it's like a whole package thingy..the journey, the being so close to nature, the being away fr 'mainstream society', the people u meet..a form of challenge to some, a source of serenity to others..personally, find it therapeutic keke..
And how can i forget to gif all these Crazy Diving Freaks pals some credits?..we had so much fun together..I entrusted my life to them..in the midst of all the fun/laughter/dives, i noe they r looking out for me at all times..they r not jus my dive kakis..they r my dive buddies, my friends, my Guardian Angel sent..I Luv U All!!...*winkz*

its the people u dive with. rather i would call them crazy. hahaha!
why crazy?
when u go diving with us u'll know why. we can make fun of almost anything we see, hear, touch. eh, basically anything, everything and whatever.
i suggest we come out with a list of TO-DOs when diving with us
1. go ask JJ what to do with a sea cucumber. (this is a classic)
2. ask Jing what is the different between a coconut tree and a oil palm tree.
3. how to drink ribena underwater without the salt taste.
4. ask me to blow ring bubbles.
crazy divers, my brain temporay dead, think of more and add to the list!
Of late, I have been so busy being occupied with my work and studies... its much like i'm running from getai to getai... rushing to get to work... then to class.. sometimes the other way around...
I've almost forgotten what it feels like to have the soft powdery sand between my toes... my feet gently lapped by the warm froth... and have my face caressed by the fresh sea breeze... In my daily grind, i have noticed that this sport has slowly become more and more popular... with more divers entering the scene, but only to leave it with such gusto. This made me wonder about what exactly is needed, to be called a Diver? Passion ? Enthusiasm ? Continuity ?
The quantity of people is increasing, while sad to say, the quality of these arent much to speak about. It has becomes much of a curiosity scene, with people coming in to taste once, and to abandon it in search of other adventures. Maybe they didnt like it, Maybe they did. In the true words of an ah lian, whatever.
Hi all! I've started this blog for a group of us divers, who enjoy crappy, nonsensical, and mindless banter :D
I'm supposed to use the name "Crazy Divers' but its taken up by someone (or somebody).
Now waiting for the other guys to respond to the blogger invite so we may all post ;) but I can forsee who will not respond (hahaha).
Most of us are Naui certified (me included) but there are Padi certified divers too. but thats not important. what matters are the dive trips!
I've only been to Pulau Tioman and Pulau Dayang for diving, did some skin diving at Phuket. Hope to go Sipadan some day :)
rest of the crazy divers don keep me waiting ah.
